What is acupressure?
Acupressure is highly effective in releasing tension and fatigue, stress-related headaches and gastro-intestinal problems, back and shoulder pain, eye strain, menstrual/menopausal imbalances, sinus pain and allergies. Acupressure method is based on applying gentle fingertip pressure to areas of the body so as to release general muscle tension and improve circulation. Acupressure aims to prevent dis-ease and to maintain well-being but in no way replaces the diagnostic of physicians. In case of visible and suspected medical problems, one would be recommended to see and consult their physician.
“At the centre of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want.” – Lao Tzu
What to expect in a session?
A session generally takes about one hour, although shorter or longer session may be required on occasion and since there are no needles used, the session is safe and simple. The patient is fully clothed and lies on his/her back on a massage table, while the practitioner holds “local points” (sore or tender points) with “distal points” (points that help to release the armor held in the body)
“Every muscular rigidity contains the history and meaning of its origin.” – Reich
After a session, clients typically report feeling deeply relaxed and having more energy then before. There may even be significantly less tension or pain in the area with an increase feeling of well being for hours and days after the session. In other case, some report feeling more tired and still feeling some body pain, the body then requires more rest and sleep to rebuild its energy, so it is recommended to schedule sessions with planning time to rest and relax more afterwards.
Some even schedule sessions before an athletic event to improve performance and recharge the body.
“An armor segment comprises those organs and muscle groups which have a functional contact with one another and which are capable of accompanying each other in the emotionally expressive movement.” – Reich
With 10 or more sessions, there are significant long term health benefits and overall deep release of body armoring, with release of the emotional armoring which often is the root cause of the body discomfort.

Facial Acupressure for Aging Skin Session 1 hour
Facial acupressure is designed to stimulate key nerves and muscle fibers deep within the skin’s layers to boost collagen production and enhance the skin’s appearance. A facial acupressure professional taps into key pressure points on the face and neck to release trapped energy, increase circulation and slowly remove toxin buildup that may be present in facial muscles and tissues.
Improving the overall functioning of facial muscles can give your face a youthful and toned look, and results may even mimic a non-surgical face lift after a series of treatments. Facial acupressure treatments are often referred to as a ‘Facelift Massage’ because they can manipulate and balance the facial tissue while working away toxins and circulation imbalances.
The techniques used in a facial acupressure treatment are designed to tap into the meridians – key areas of the face linked to the nervous system – and cleanse out the facial lymph system. A series of facial acupressure treatments can rejuvenate the skin and improve skin elasticity – the essential component of youthful, healthy-looking skin. Since blood is brought to the surface during the treatment, you can expect the skin to look more radiant and glow immediately after the session.
If you have fine lines, wrinkles or sagging skin that is making you look much older than your real age, facial acupressure may be the best way to firm up and tone your skin to achieve a more youthful look.
